Yellow shadows
We saw the sun for a few minutes this morning, but now all is gray again. In honor of the brief view of the happiness-giving orb, here are two studies in yellow, complete with shadows. Visit Shadow Shot Sunday for more interesting shadows. Go to Color Carnival for more brilliant color, and of course, Mellow Yellow Monday for you know what. Check out Today’s Flowers, too.
The lemons are SOOC, or straight out of the camera. As for the daffs, I couldn’t resist Auto Tone in Photoshop when I saw the neat purple-ish background it produced.

Love the intense yellow in these photos! So bright and beautiful! And the hint of shadow round the lemons adds depth and dimension!
Two gorgeous shots! The yellow is so luminous.
Gorgeous photography – yellow not always easy to photograph.
Brilliant yellows–almost like the sun itself!
Happy SSS to you.
Oh my Sara! My favorite color is yellow – that particluar brillant yellow called by Pantone for 2009, Mimosa! π
Sara, my link in my previous post is broken. I fixed it here and I spelled “brilliant” correctly. Ha! π
Sara, let’s try the link again. This time it should work! Sheesh! π
I love it when shadows are reflected as colors and yellow is so nice in the middle of winter.
Lovely shadow shots! That yellow is so nice and summery.
Wow those arewow eyepopping –the clarity is so great
Daffodils and lemons – a great pair!
These are both lovely.
I love the first shot with the beautiful blue behind the yellow daffs.
A sweet pair of yellows! The cheery lemons give a nice spring vibe…warm sunny days and cold lemonade! Spring is just around the corner for you now so you must be looking forward to it π
Lovely shadow shot, love the colour yellow
Love both shots! The purple background is a perfect contrast to the yellow daffs. As for the lemons, it looks so warm, makes me want lemonade right now.
Ahhhh my absolute favorite color, which is really saying something because I am a lover of colors – the more vibrant and far away from pastel as you can get, I love them all. But yellow – it’s just the best!
Great yellow shots. The one of the daffs is my favorite with that gourgous blue backgrund π
It looks pretty yellow finds. Happy SOOC Sunday. Mine is up….

Now, that is some bright yellow. Wonderful.
Now I’m ready for spring -and summer lemons, too. Lovely yellows.
I can almost taste the lemonade!
My daffodils started up in January… against my pleading with them to wait.
Then we had the snow we never have and somehow they survived.
A few look as if they are threatening to bud out and open…..still, not yet!
Gorgeous shots! I want spring and I want it now! Thanks for bringing me a little glimpse of sunshine π
