Roses in a bowl
These roses in a glass bowl are from September. I grew them, after all the work of digging a big bed for them (that done by hubby, it’s true) and digging 18 big holes to plant the 18 bushes. I was so pleased with my first year’s harvest of beauty and fragrance.
I am honored to be Guest Friend today, with my tulip photos featured on Flowers for Today. Please visit there and check out all the other talented photographers who love flowers.
And try the newest flower meme, Macro Flowers Saturday! As well as Macro Monday, a fine place to visit.
I truly love this photo, and have tagged it Best Post of the Week (Saturday to Friday). I hope you agree.

These are beautiful! My MiL gave me a rose garden for my birthday last year. My hubby did all the work and she paid for the bushes. Ours are pink and red, I’ve never seen purple roses. It was a great gift though, because it’s something we can enjoy for years to come.

Thank you Sara for your comment and for the advise too.
I did some research before I started the meme and my conclusion is that thumbnail system discourages visitors.
Seeing the thumb they “can have the impression” that they are not interested on the subject or details, especially on a large niche, like Skywatch, with all kind of subjects. Those interested in landscapes may not visit a site with a flower and sky in the background.
Skywatch is already too big to feel it. I might be wrong, anyway, in my case subject is clear and I don’t intend to reach the sky. I shall be satisfied with a few nice people without automated commenting.
Thanks again and I’ll count on you.
Have a nice weekend!

Impeccable photography! That reminds me…I have to rip up my rose garden and move it to the other side of the yard. When I moved here, the roses were planted in the shade. You know what that means? Black spot. so, this spring i am ripping the whole thing up and moving it to a spot that gets sun all day. Maybe my roses will improve 🙂

It must be very, very rewarding to see the result of all that hard work Sara. Your roses are beautiful as are your tulips you so kindly shared with us as Guest Friend on the Today’s Flowers Home Page. Thank you so much and have a great week.
