Pink Christmas cactus
This little beauty was on sale at Pike Place Market this afternoon. These succulent plants don’t look like too much (for most of the year) with their flat, sort of leathery “leaves,” but this time of year they are such a blessing. I am now the proud owner of two of them and I see the appeal. Wonderful, showy and complicated flowers, brilliantly colored, just when we need some color in our lives.
Visit Macro Flowers Saturday, Color Carnival, Cactus Monday and Pink Saturday for some more photo fun. This one is straight out of the camera, too.
Try a new tag today. What about pink? As always, if there is only one photo below, click on Sara’s Fave Photos here or above for more.
That’s a gorgeous color indeed. These flowers are so hard to photograph because of their semi-transparent, shinny petals. You did an excellent job with this one.
To your question, I’ll try to find out the roses name, though, for the moment I don’t know where to start asking.
Wow, beautiful photo, Sara. I love the transparency, like a gauzy fabric blowing in the wind!
Amazing photo! it looks like the veil from a dancer driven crazy by the wind. Very beautiful
You have captured them beautifully … they are sooo colorful & cheery on a winters day.
Merry Christmas ~
Happy Pink Saturday ~
Have a beautiful week ~

What a beautiful bloom on your cactus! …It reminds me of my mama’s when I was a little girl in the 60’s! Thanks for sharing and Merry Pinks to you and your family!
I loved your Christmas Cactus. Such a beautiful pink. Happy Pink Saturday.
The petals look like billowing chiffon.
