Red and green anthuriums
Before I began visiting the Volunteer Park Conservatory in Seattle regularly, I had no idea anthuriums existed in so many forms and colors. Here’s sort of a holiday look for you in red and green. And don’t you just love the heart-shaped leaves?
This tropical plant is a great entry for the Hot, Loud and Proud plant and flower meme out of Hawaii. And Color Carnival has more bright colors for you.
If there’s only one photo below, it means there are tons more for you if you click on Sara’s Fave Photos here or above.

I have anthuriums in my garden but not as red and green as this one. They make lovely cut flowers too, especially the bright red ones.

Wow! I haven’t seen a red and green anthurium before. This is gorgeous! I only have the most common pink ones.
Thank you for stopping by my blog…I’d love to be here again!

Sara;A very colorful shot–anthuriums are much more diverse today. I think they can
be as colorful as caladiums-and they ARE both Arums-But you already knew that,
didn’t you?Keep those shots coming,young lady.

That anthurium is so beautiful, they make very good cutflowers which has a shelf life much longer than ordinary flowers. Hawaii bred the best anthurium hybrids and maybe Japan. The always look very special to me, in whatever color and size.

I like the two tones with red and green on the flowers.

This is a great shot! The colours are so vibrant and the waxy texture on the leaves comes through so well. Thanks for sharing.
