Scenic overlook of Puget Sound
There’s a very scenic overlook near my house, and sometimes even in gray weather the view is good. A little sunshine sifting down from the clouds, a bit of reflection on the water, and there you have it. It feels so good to look out to a far distance, doesn’t it?
Visit Skywatch Friday and Scenic Sunday for more skies and earth worth viewing. Watery Wednesday has more water photos of all kinds. Weekend Reflections showcases visual reflections.

Stunning. There is no other word to describe the scene. The reflection on the water is just amazing.
Beautiful! The Sound is always good for a photo, no matter the weather!
Absolutely beautiful!
That is so beautiful. The water looks like shimmery silver.
what a dreamy scene.
A hush, a stillness, so serene in it’s beauty.
Beautiful scenery…love the soft, open sky.
Great capture. I love the beautiful whiteness of the photo.
You’ve got an awesome view!
i love this serene silvery scene.
What a magnificent view Sara, I always love how the sunlight bounces of the water like that, just magical. My husband has been out in Seattle this past week on one of his business trips. I don’t think he got a view like this though, his hotel was a bit further down, in Renton I believe. Have a great weekend.
Simply gorgeous. Love it.
this looks a truly gorgeous place to be.
What a beautiful scenery…looks so peaceful!
Sara — the pictures are beautiful — love the look back at the summer rose and can’t ever see too much of the beautiful Puget Sound (esp. since I never seem to get there in person any more)…..
Can’t wait to see what you do with the “new place.” We’re thinking ab out migrarating our blot too — maybe after we get back to Florida — we’ve been looking at our options.
PRAISING WATER
Water here and water there,
Water, water everywhere!
Water to restore the soul,
Water in a cup or bowl;
Water gushing in the sink,
Water clear or dark as ink;
Water in the stream and bog,
Water for the newt and frog;
Water to refresh the wheat,
Water washing dusty feet;
Water chasers everywhere
With loud praises do declare
That there is no finer thing—
Water is both queen and king!

Thanks for commenting on my Seattle snow pic. Yes, it was lovely! Great picture of the Sound. Visiting my daughter several times since she moved up there, I’ve really enjoyed photographing up there, especially the water on gray and stormy days. This picture reminded me of my time up there and our time together.
Enjoy our weekend!
Great capture and beautiful scenery
Wow, what a beautiful view and very scenic shot . A fantastic photo.
Those shades of grey are simply beautiful.
Serene – I love this feeling.
So beautiful! This photo makes me wish I was there.
You get the different tone of blue, great idea. How’s the weather? Looks icy cold like the cold in your photo.
The weather was not actually all that cold last week when I took this photo. It does look icy, doesn’t it?
Oh, my goodness, so beautiful. I’ve never been to your little corner of the world, but I’m hoping someday to travel out that way. ~karen
