Summer dahlia macro
All I want is some sunshine, so this dahlia flower photo will have to do. The stripey petals are called striated, I believe. Isn’t it a cool effect? This was an annual type, so it’s forever gone, but that’s why photos are so great, to me at least.

Sara:You probably already know this, but if you wanted to save an “annual” dahlia,
you technically could–most people don’t bother, because there usually is no real
spectacular display involved,In this case, however, it is a rather unusual beddindahlia, and, of course, another GREAT SHOT for a winter’s day.
