Tissue box shadows
A bit of sunshine perks up everything in the house. These days in Seattle’s northern lattitude when the sun is so low in the sky, the our rare sunshine reaches far into the room. This was taken at my south-facing kitchen table a week or two ago. But now the days lengthen and eventually the sun’s rays will not enter the window at all.
Visit Shadow Shot Sunday for more interesting shadows of all types, and Blue Monday. Such creativity!

that’s amazing! I can’t believe the scene outside goes through your tissue. incredible shadow!
That’s so lovely Sara. It’s far too pretty to have someone come along and blow their nose into it 😉
I hope you’re having a beautiful holiday season. That’s a little sad to think of the sun not shining in your kitchen window. Silly long dark days!
Season’s greetings from Helsinki and Casablanca!
I like the delicacy of these shadows…and that you noticed them right there on such an ordinary object as your tissue box!
i’m just a bit north of you – in the san juan islands – and it’s tough feeling ignored by the sun this time of year. things are on the up & up though, since solstice has passed, a little bit more sunshine every day until late june!
