Double pink and white azaleas
When the petals are not just one flat row, the flowers are called doubles. The edge of a different color around the petals is called picotee. These azaleas with maidenhair ferns on the side from the Volunteer Park Conservatory are pretty special for both reasons, and you probably won’t find too many like this in your neighbor’s front yard. I think they are so sweet and cheerful!

How beautiful! Wouldn’t my senior mom love these for her spring gardening project! We had simple pink Azaleas at our last home and she loved those. These are even prettier. Thank you for sharing them with us for Pink Saturday.

Wow, these are amazing flowers. So pretty!
Beautiful azalea, what a nice pop of color in winter-enjoy:@)
What a gorgeous photo.
I was nearly grown before I discovered azaleas didn’t necessarily come from a florist. Coming full circle, now I’m considering delicate greenhouse azaleas to bring the season much, much earlier than the common Formosas the size of a minivan that bloom in spring here.
Those are beautiful. Such is usually the case with cold sensitive plants. I look forward to the high season when the native azaleas bloom.
Lovely shot, for today.
Beautiful flowers. The ‘doubles’ of anything (I think of impatiens) are always spectacular.
They are very pretty with the pink picotee. Beautiful shot.
So pretty!
My flower contribution, please come and see.
I’d be happy to see any azalea again, even a single one ;>)…we do have beautiful flowers in Florida, but when I see this, I miss the ones we had in Oregon.
Que cor linda dessa flor!

Do you know the name of the variety of the double pink and white azalea featured on this page? Thank you.
