African violets
These magenta-and-white African violets with their thick, fuzzy leaves were photographed at our local garden club’s quarterly meeting and horticulture show. Do you see how the pink splotches are heart shaped? I’ve never had any luck with growing African violets myself, but do appreciate their cheerful flowers, especially at this dark time of year. Maybe I’ll try some again.
Visit Pink Saturday, Color Carnival, Today’s Flower and Macro Flowers Saturday for more neat photos. After browsing around here, of course.
I love African violets. My mom always had a lot of them around when I was growing up. These are very pretty.
Gorgeous – and I DO see the heart shape!!

Eu gosto de violetas! Esta foto está linda!
Superb African violets and the Clematis in your Host Friend shot is just like mine, only less chewed up by bugs.
Wow – what adorable little pink hearts! I could never grow African violets – I either don’t water them enough or too much. Never have I seen them with hearts, however! What a wonderful find!!!
STUNNING…. beautiful hearts!!!! TFS
