Morning tree shadows
Taken in Windsor, California last month, this photo shows the moss and lichen on the bare winter branches of the oak trees. Amazing what a little sunshine will do.
Visit Shadow Shot Sunday, SOOC, Thursday Challenge (trees) and Scenic Sunday for other photos you might enjoy. And definitely check out something like the Nature category if you have a moment.
I love this photo and I’m putting it in the Best Post of the Week category, but it was a hard choice between this and the radishes above! Just click on Sara’s Fave Photos to see the whole blog with those cute radishes a few photos above this one.

One learns a lot through blogging. We almost only get the sunny beach photos from California here, I hardly thought the seasons were noticable there.

I love the sunny sharp outlines of the trees and the contrasting soft shadows. It looks so inviting.

Lovely photo. The sun just sort of creeps through the trees. Very nice.

If enchanted woods exist, surely you have found them!
SILLY SHADOW DITTY
Shadows may or may not be
Patterns of urbanity.
If a shadow threatens you,
Here, my dear, is what to do:
Grab the shadow by the throat,
Toss it to a billy goat,
So the goat can chomp and chew,
Keeping it away from you!

This is great! It almost has an “other-worldly” feel to it.

this is a beautiful picture not only because it has no snow on the ground but because of the sunlight trying to squeeze into the branches of the trees.

I like the composition of the photo: 1/3 trees, 1/3 sky, and 1/3 hill. Great shot, Sara! blessings on your day.
