Red amaryllis in sunshine
That amaryllis that I (amazingly) regrew from last year was in full bloom about a week ago, in the sun before this unwelcome cold, snow and basic winter weather hit here in Seattle. But the weather changes, and we will have sunshine again. In the meantime, enjoy the color and shadows in my living room for a little while.
I love this photo with its deep shadows and look of peace and comfort and I am categorizing it as my Best Post of the Week. Hope you agree.

Amaryllis hippeastrum is a beloved indoor plant in European winters as well and a very cheerful sight indeed.
A lovely bloom Sara. Mine of course bloom in the garden. At present they are in leaf but come spring they will make quite a showing.

This is such a beautiful scene! And the pop of bright red in magic Sara! Wishing you lots of sunshine for the coming week!
PS – You asked if I liked to dance? Yes I love dancing but I’m not very good at it. Although I don’t let my two left feet stop me from bouncing around like a loon! 🙂

It looks like such a welcoming room with a snug sheepskin on the rocking chair. Lovely sunny shadows. I can’t imagine getting an amaryllis to re grow the following year!

Is that green grass outside the window? Green, healthy, dry grass? Beautiful.
