Lady slipper orchid
Another show stopper from the NW Flower & Garden Show in February. Shows like that help those of us hopelessly addicted to flower photography to make it through this endless winter. I’m sorry I’m so bad with specific names of plants; I only recently learned that this type of orchid with the cup is called “lady slipper.” At least it’s something. Any orchid experts out there with the real name?

Hope you can visit; have a glorious day!!
Excellent with beautiful yellow flower. I wish you a wonderful week!
Great shine on the leaves and flower. We got an orchid at Christmas that is just now fading. My husband (the ag man!) swore it was plastic.
An amazing orchid. My first time to see this kind. Love it!

Sara,
I went on an Orchid tour yesterday here in SW Florida. Not a lot of blooming plants but so interesting and informative.
These are great photos.
