Big red fringed poppy
The huge poppies are blooming. These unusual ones, the size of my hand, were discovered in a neighbor’s garden on a recent walk. Aren’t they something? The photo doesn’t really do justice to the red color, either. That tomato red, and the dark, dark center just do it for me. Flower thrills.

Oh my, I can’t ever remember seeing a frilly poppy like this one, it is stunning and would make me very happy to see it first hand. Thanks for sharing it Sara. I love your flowers.
Very lovely flowers!
It looks like a perennial poppy. What a joy to have in your garden.
Never seen a poppy with a fringe like that! Wonderful!!
That is gorgeous. The kids spread poppy seeds last year and they came up. Before they could bloom my non gardening daughter pulled all but three as weeds!
