Double Delight roses
Okay, I admit this photo of Double Delight roses was taken yesterday, not today (it’s raining), but the roses are blooming in my garden right now. If only you could smell them! Today is the Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day meme, where people around the world take photos of what’s blooming in their garden on the 15th of each month, post and visit each other. Fun!

Hi there…popping over from Pink Saturday’s to say hello & want to invite you to link up to my garden party sometime? Gorgeous photo’s of your flowers! xoox, tracie
I have a Double Delight in a large pot on my deck behind the house. It is placed so that it gets afternoon shade and was trying to bloom. It has been so hot that the flowers just bake and wither. This has been a tough summer for us and it is just beginning.
Wowza!

RED AND YELLOW LULLABY
Red is the color of cherries, not cheese;
Yellow the backs of the sweet honeybees;
Red the fair hair of the Derry Town maid;
Yellow the yolk of the brown egg fresh-laid;
Red are the wounds of the sun going down;
Yellow the daisies beloved by the clown;
Rainbows of colors, delighting the eye—
Yellow and scarlet for this lullaby.
