Brugmansia macro
Brugmansia, or Angels Trumpet, is such a magnificent flower. Taken at a recent Volunteer Park Conservatory event, you can tell this flower, about the size of my hand, is one of my top faves because I used its pink cousins on the cover of my book. They’re quite challenging to photograph, at least if you want them to look as graceful and elegant in your photo as they do when you’re looking at them. How a flower like this can look awkward I do not know, but it happens.
Mellow Yellow Monday, Today’s Flowers, Macro Monday, Macro Flowers Saturday and Macro Friday are neat places to visit. Try Color Carnival, too. Remember, if there is only one photo below, click on Sara’s Fave Photos for the others. Thank you for visiting!
I love the name… and the flower. Love the beautiful yellow color.

Hello – saw your Angel Trumpet post on http://lisaschaos.com/ Macro Monday. Your photo stood out and thought I’d take a closer look. Love the composition and subtle lighting.

Shades of Yellow
I planted some of these this summer we’ll see what happens next summer. Got any tips for me as far as pruning them?
All I know about them is that they are very frost tender and must be taken indoors if it gets cold where you are. I think it’s a matter of support, rather than pruning.
Gorgeous Macro shot!
My Macro, have a great weekend.
These are a gorgeous bunch of trumpets, they are one of my favorites.
I entered your post to MFS and I’m sorry for the incident. I checked my settings and can’t find the reason for it; could you please tell me what was happening exactly, so I can ask the stuff at Inlinkz. Thanks.
Beautiful image with nice soft lighting.
