Colorful kayaks
Some scenes just beg for their picture to be taken. While all the world loves to photograph a hot air balloon, or, even better, a bunch of them at a balloon event—since that’s an extremely early-in-the-morning sort of deal, it’s not for me. But kayaks! Just sitting there, floating on the water of Puget Sound, waiting to be rented. Or photographed. I obliged. And I’m calling this my Best Post of the Week.
Visit Ruby Tuesday, Color Carnival, Mellow Yellow Monday, Outdoor Wednesday, Scenic Sunday, Weekend Reflections, Watery Wednesday, and Shadow Shot Sunday for neat sites with photos on a theme (a meme!) Remember, if there is only one photo below, click on Sara’s Fave Photos for the others. Thank you for visiting!

Great capture. Love the focus and the way the boats form a fan shape.

“Colorful” is a rather pallid description of these blazing beauties!
RAINBOW DITTY
Dibs of yellow and dabs of red—
Rainbow colors go to my head!
Dashes of gold and crimson too—
Painted like this I can’t feel blue!

They make me think of group of young people out for the day, hurriedly pulling in to romp on the shore, eat some lunch and such before paddling on. Love the colorful shot!

This is a very cool photo. And you’re correct, they are asking to be photographed, I heard them all say, “Hey, lets bunch up and put our noses together, that one’s got a camera!”
Peace

Not only are the kayaks colorful, but they are also sources of intriguing shadows!
BITS OF SHADOW
Bits of shadow and blasts of light,
Morning and evening, noon and night;
Days of darkness, gloomy and drear;
Sometimes bright ones, bringing good cheer;
Spring or winter, summer or fall,
Light or shadow—embrace them all!
