Japanese garden
Highline Garden just north of Seattle’s SeaTac Airport has a lovely Japanese garden which, amazingly, was moved from another location not that long ago. Here is one view of it in August. Don’t you love seeing the blue sky and puffy clouds, even if it’s just reflected?
Visit SOOC Sunday (straight out of the camera), Outdoor Wednesday, Scenic Sunday, Skywatch Friday, Watery Wednesday, Shadow Shot Sunday, Weekend Reflections and Wordless Wednesday for lots of fascinating photo fun. And you can always see the complete and up-to-date blog by clicking on Sara’s Fave Photos, here or on the curly lettering on the banner above.

Lovely picture. How do you move a Japanese Garden complete with sizable trees?

I like the way the trees are reaching over the water.

The reflections of sky and clouds are exquisite!
SHADOW PLAY
Shadows like horses, shadow likes chicks,
Shadows like houses built with red bricks;
Shadows much taller than a high wall—
No matter their shape, I love them all!

Great photo with beautiful reflections. I am puzzled to understand how the garden was moved?

Thanks to all who visited and left a comment. To those who asked how this garden could have been moved, all I can say is, not easily. Lots of proper prior planning, of course, and backhoes! It’s remarkable how large trees can be moved, but some can, and these were.

Can you believe but I have almost same kind photo taken in Tokyo 🙂

Beautiful image. And the sky and clouds look like they are in the lake and not reflected, so clear and vivid. Very nice photo of what looks like a very beautiful place.
Peace

We have one of these gardens here. They can certainly provide almost any sight you want. Yours are lovely.

Gorgeous! Wonderful shadows. Hard to believe they could move a Japanese garden and have it look this beautiful afterward.
