Gray weather
The other day at the Normandy Park Cove, near Seattle, I looked outside and there was that pretty effect when the clouds in the distance look almost like cut paper. Then it went back to just plain old dull gray. We take what we can get when it comes to scenic in this part of the world. Did you know that the Seattle area gets only about 36″ or a little over a meter of rain a year, which is about what New York City or Santa Rosa, California gets? BUT it has far, far more cloudy days. Don’t tell me how many; I don’t want to know. So we get to be conoisseurs of gray skies!

Happy note: Only 8 days ’til the solstice means just 16 days until days are lengthening and longer than today!
I wonder what two birds are those… falcons?
Serene view 🙂
Indeed, but it’s a beautiful gray day:)
Beautiful scene… the flying birds add life to the picture.
Nice composition!
I like the way the green grass seems to anchor the whole thing. There’s just a hint of sun in the sky, and I like the two birds. Great altogether!
Yes the weather is grey but I like your picture anyway!
i’m glad that Seattle was blessed with sunny skies during my visit.
a friend told me i brought the sunshine from Manila.:p
very nice, so gray and stark.
It’s a beautiful shot. My OW is up too.
Wonderful shot ….. I happen to like “gray days” …… but maybe not so many :-/
I like that you also got the birds in the shot. You’d think that with more cloudy days you would get more rain. Hmmmm….
Beautiful horizon… the birds are a nice touch!
So peaceful! Well captured 🙂
Lovely capture, even with the gray sky. Happy Scenic Sunday!
