Green orchid
I don’t know much at all about orchids other than that the flowers last so long it makes their high prices almost sensible. Here’s one in a florist shop that really excites me. Green and pink is one of my fave color combos, especially in flowers. If only they had fragrance, but I guess with looks like this, who needs perfume?
Visit the NEW Shadow Shot Sunday 2 for more creative shadows from around the world. Also Today’s Flowers, Weekend Flowers, Macro Friday, Macro Monday, Macro Flowers Saturday, SOOC Sunday (straight out of the camera), Pink Saturday, Mellow Yellow Monday, Ruby Tuesday and Floral Friday are worth a visit. Check out something new at Sara’s Fave Photos before you go, why not?

Beautiful as always! With regards to your suggestion about a redirect… I’ve just changed info in the SSS tab that sits below my banner which now directs people to the new SSS home. I’m not sure how to create a static post that remains at the top of my blog though, so hopefully people will think to click on the tab if looking for SSS now. I’ll continue playing along most weeks anyway, so they’ll be regular links through doing that to direct people to the right place.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend Sara!

A gorgeous orchid indeed, and a wonderful color combination. its so different from the usual white/pink phalaenopsis usually sold.
Your macro photo is so clear and sharp that I feel I could touch it. Wonderful work Sara!

Many shadow-seekers say,
“Oh, the one that got away!”
Why are you so uptight, folks?
Can’t you take light’s little jokes?

I know nothing about them either and never have had but one. I got it as corsage to some event. This one is truly a beauty.

This is gorgeous! I know nothing about orchids other than they have a reputation for being hard to grow and they are stunning to look at. I love the colors in this one.
