Bananas in Cambodian market
Another photo from my daughter, travelling in S.E. Asia. When my mother lived in South Florida and actually grew bananas (she “fed” the grass-clipping mulch with cut-up kitchen vegetable scraps and had the only fruiting banana plant in her neighborhood) I was amazed to learn that bananas grow pointing upwards. Somehow I had always assumed that the fingers pointed downwards.

All those bananas! I can’t miss the tiny ones. I bet they’re probably nice and sweet. They all look good. I made a green banana soup as part of my Christmas meal. Tasted really good. I’ll post it soon. Nice photo!
Hope your daughter has a great time. Though it is rainy period.
Most bananas point down, I saw in Singapore, one that points up, more for decor than for eating.
happy New year.
your mum was the original composter. Great job.
That is pretty cool. That is a lot of bananas
