Red azaleas
More brilliant magenta pink/red springtime azalea flowers for you from May while I deal with the grayness outside. It’s interesting how a review of photos I took several months ago shows me that my ideas on what makes a good photo sometimes changes. This one I had tagged with one star (Worth Keeping). But now I compare it with other azalea photos taken that day and I like this one better than the others I tagged with more stars. It teaches me to look at what I preferred then but to take another look at what I set aside. You never know.
Take a look at Shadow Shot Sunday 2, Outdoor Wednesday, SOOC Sunday (straight out of the camera), Scenic Sunday, Today’s Flowers, Weekend Flowers, Floral Friday, Color Carnival, Ruby Tuesday 2 and Pink Saturday to see more wonderful photography. That’s lovely!
New Year’s Eve Rubies, please come and see.
I’ve always loved azaleas. They’re more feminine than rhododendron I think.
Beautiful play of light on these azaleas! And they look wonderful en masse!
Beautiful photo of these spectacular blossoms, Sara!
Azaleas are such saucy flowers–especially red ones!
HESTER’S LETTER
Hester’s letter, scarlet “A,”
Gave the gossips much to say,
But their rudeness she forbore,
For she knew she was no whore.

azaleas are the most cheerful flowers.
So very bright and radiantly beautiful en masse! Love the shadowy depths of the leaves highlighting the flowers!
Azaleas viewed in January are warm and delightful!
Beautiful flowers, thanks for sharing. Happy Pink Saturday! ~Diane
Your azalea is gorgeous. Sadly all of ours were killed last winter. I have just had no luck with them here in Virginia. Such a lush coloration. genie

I agree with your comment wholeheartedly I will often go back at photos not thought of as highly as some others, and been surprised at my initial reaction. Lovely photo Sara, have a great week.
