Lavatera
This is a new flower for me. I was admiring a huge shrub in a beautiful garden in Coupeville, WA, when the owner came out and chatted with us. To me, this lavatera looks like it is related to hollyhock. I wish I had the space to grow this, as it looked about 6 feet (2 meters) tall and wide, and she said it was four years old, and you cut it to the ground each winter. What a stunner!

That is a beautiful flower, I’m sure I could never grow it in our climate!
Exquisite, colorful flowers and great shadow shot for the day, Sara! Hope your weekend is going well!
I like these flowers better than their hollyhock cousin……must be because it’s Pink!

So that is what that flower is called. I saw a large bush with flowers like this in town the other day but had no idea what it was called. They have stunning blooms don’t they.
They’re beautiful, we have them here in Finland too.
That is a new one on me, too. And, it is a stunner.
Happy Pink Saturday, Sara.♥

That is a beautiful bloom – I also thought it might be related to the Rose of Sharon or Althea. I have a purple one!
