Pink thistle
Close to the water at Bowman Bay, part of Deception Pass State Park in the Pacific Northwest, were growing these pink flowers, which I’m pretty sure are in the thistle family. They were about waist high. In the background is the pier into the bay, a lovely stroll out towards even more beautiful views.
Visit Scenic Sunday, Outdoor Wednesday, Pink Saturday and Macro Monday for other interesting images. So glad you could drop by here.

They are just lovely and that is a terrific photo! I’m in the Seattle area as well, gotta love our summers!
Aren’t those pretty! I love the three stages of the bloom that’s showing – the little tight ball, then the loosened petals to the fluffy bloom. Lovely photo!
