Simplicity rose
This rose, which I believe is called Simplicity, is growing in a neighbor’s yard. It’s very healthy and seems to get no care at all. I’d like to have a rose garden with only tough, healthy roses like this, but how can you really tell in the nursery? Does “disease resistant” really mean anything? And don’t mention Knockout roses, because they still don’t have fragrance. Why bother with roses without fragrance?

hugs..Loui♥
So pretty with the dew (or rain) drops.
lovely.
I am with you on the desire for a low..ok, no care rose garden.
I’m with you, Sara. I want my roses to smell sweet.♥
Your neighbor knows how to grow a perfect rose.
Hi Sara: That rose is lovely! I have some Old Garden Roses, and I’ve found them to be more disease resistant by far than the hybrid teas in our rainy climate. They have nice fragrance as well. No rose tends to be perfect in my damp garden–often what happens with the hybrid teas is they get black spot, they lose their leaves, and then by that time in the season it’s warmed up, and new, clean leaves grow in. Take care, and have a wonderful rest of the week!
simple but so beautiful! thanks 🙂
Beautiful! I love those water drops.
One of my favorite flowers, the rose. This one is especially pretty.
whoever said ‘roses are red’ was so very wrong!
