Orange hibiscus
I went to the Volunteer Park Conservatory in Seattle today. Be sure and see the Angels Trumpets (brugmansia) before they are finished blooming! I like brugmansia so much that I put them on the cover of my book. Look for a post about the ones I saw today soon.
As usual at the VPC, there is much beauty to see. This flame-colored orange hibiscus really caught my eye. It felt like I was in Hawaii!

I seldom see orange hibiscus here. So lovely!
I grew up with hibiscus blossoms, and I have always loved them. Is that coleus I see behind this bloom?
Gorgeous, Sara.
Ah yes, Beverly, a coleus to the left, and if I’m not mistaken, a Boston fern to the right. Framing is everything!
It’s lovely!

Gorgeous!! I love the leaves that surround the hibiscus, too!
Now that is lovely!

What a gorgeous color! Is the Volunteer Park Conservatory open to the public? I sure would love to go there the next time I head to Seattle. Thanks for once again sharing with Today’s Flowers, and have a great week.
I seldom see this color around here. Great shot!

She looks a little out of the way a robust poppy … the leaves are not so tender and flatterige, as a poppy, but I think it’s beautiful! I wish you from my heart a loving weekend! Louise-Lotte
Was in Bermuda last week, and even there, I only saw orange hibiscus twice! they are so very lovely….
