Backyard garden
Well, the pasture behind my yard (the between the two fences) has been sold, and a house will be built on it this summer, we are told. Sigh. The horses are gone. Things change. Here is what it looked like from my patio, today.
Participating in Outdoor Wednesday, Straight out of the Camera Sunday, Scenic Weekends, Pink Saturday, Ruby Tuesday 2, My Romantic Home, Floral Friday, Weekend Flowers, NF Blo-Ma Tuesday, Today’s Flowers, Fishtail Cottage Wednesday, and Shadow Shot Sunday 2. I so appreciate your dropping by.

It’s always sad when that happens, but I hope they turn out to be wonderful neighbors who plant lots of flowers and feed the birds. 🙂 Your back yard is absolutely lovely!

such a lovely, colorful sight!
I feel the pain for you. We lived in the country for 27 years with the nearest neighbor being a half mile from us. We were in the center with farm lands on all four sides. Then…developers started building homes. Then one of the farms was sold and a house was built on it. From there… 🙁 However, my husband developed heart problems that year also. So we sold our Shang-ri-la and moved back to the city. I hope you have neighbors who love the rural life and don’t try to bring the city your way.

A gorgeous sight. Trust the new home do justice to it and not harm. What a lovely view you have.

All in the name of Progress. Boo and hiss. We lost our small farm 10+ years to the mighty developers. It took awhile but I am happy where I am now. Good things do happen. As the others said–I hope you get good neighbors. MB

So sorry for you. Well, if they build and eyesore you can plant something lovely to hide it!
