Stargazer lilies
I’m on a lily kick. These are in a close neighbor’s garden. I heard that all lilies used to point down and be droopy, so when a grower managed to get it facing up, he or she called it Stargazer. Great name.

Just wonderful.
Beautiful shot, I love how the light is catching the central parts.

Had to repost my comment as the linkback didn’t work on the first one.
Beautiful lily! I didn’t know that about the name, some of my other favorite flowers have that problem too. I finally got some Hellebores that face outward last spring.

Gorgeous Sara!
Beautiful and I love the story of the name!
I never knew that and I used to grow them! Lovely shadows varying the shades of red in the petals.
These are stunning flowers. And love the fall of light creating extra tones on the petals.
Beautiful lily and I love the color. Seems like we were both in a flower state of mine.
