Dahlia bouquet with lilies
At the Renton (WA) Fall Harvest Festival on Saturday, I was surprised to see these bouquets of dahlias that included intensely fragrant lilies. The ones in my garden have long been finished. I bought some and the entire house is filled with their scent.

Dear Sara,
thanks a lot for your kind comment on my latest post about “English Gardening”. The garden festival in the private (!) park of Wolfsgarten Castle 30 km south of Frankfurt is really one of my annual highlights at the end of summer. It’s the time when all the late summer / early autumn flowers are in full bloom the last time of the year and their colours blend with the autumnal colour of the tree’s foliage.
Thanks for sharing your great photo of the dahlia-lily potpourri – excellently caputured like all of the photos on your blog.
Have a great week, Uwe.
That’s gorgeous! My favorite colours.

oh la la…Magnefique! 🙂
What a lovely bouquet, the dahlias are so beautiful, I like the peach ones especially. I can almost smell the lilies.
They look so lovely together.
Thanks for dropping by. The taste of petals of ginger flowers is mild; but they have good aroma.
Oh yes that arrangement is lovely too, very fresh and elegant.
Lovely flowers are always a good way to brighten anyone’s day. Happy Ruby Tuesday Too.
A veritable feast for the eyes!
