Brugmansia
A friend gave me a rooted cutting of this tropical Angels Trumpet plant a year and a half ago and how it’s almost as tall as I am. And this summer it bloomed! At night the whole house has its sweet perfume wafting through it.

I just discovered these beautiful flowers since moving to New Zealand and I find them quite lovely, too.

I’ve seen them in Florida as well. Stunning!
They are fantastic plants, it’s great that you got one to grow and bloom. There is a big one at the Portland Rose Garden.
They DO look like trumpets, and what magnificent shadows they create!

I have always found this an amazing flower but I didn’t know its real name. Thank you for sharing it Sara, it’s a gorgeous photo!
