Lovely leaves and poem
What with all the wind we had, the leaf season is leaving. This beloved poem comes to mind.
Spring & Fall: to a young child
Margaret, are you grieving
Over Goldengrove unleaving?
Leaves, like the things of man, you
With your fresh thoughts care for, can you?
Ah! as the heart grows older
It will come to such sights colder
By and by, nor spare a sigh
Though worlds of wanwood leafmeal lie;
And yet you will weep and know why.
Now no matter, child, the name:
Sorrow’s springs are the same.
Nor mouth had, no nor mind, expressed
What heart heard of, ghost guessed:
It is the blight man was born for,
It is Margaret you mourn for.

Wonderful colours, light and shodows!!!
Love the detail in each leaf. Really nicely captured.
Lovely pastel colors, soft lighting and excellent detail. Almost like a water color painting.
It so makes me think of ‘the autumn leaves drift by my window’, now I won’t be able to get it out of my head.
Beautiful picture of some beautiful autumn leaves 🙂 Hanne Bente
I love the colours of these beautiful leaves.
Beautiful!
Love the different shades in your leaves.
I like the colors very much!
