Bigger aquarium
We have four pretty goldfish with fancy fins and pearly scales, and they were getting too big for their ten-gallon tank, so we moved them to a 30-gallon aquarium. Here’s a photo of them in the smaller tank, and below that are two videos of them, first in the smaller tank and then right after their move to a larger home.
Here are two videos of the before and after. Note how they do not swim into the new, larger area just yet after the move.

yes, they needed the larger home. I think they can be quite large. They look healthy and well fed 🙂

I know of a person who after his work he only like to watch fish swimming. It is his way of taking off his stress from his doctor duty. Which some people do find it weird but it does help to some. Lovely shot!
Thank you for joining Water World Wednesday

Do you have to change the water? We used to have a big tank, and the water got dirty. I used to drain the water through a hose to water my plants. But everynow and then, the husband had to lug the whole tank to the kitchen sink to give it a through clean. He soon got pretty tired.

Ann NZ, thank goodness my husband takes care of all of it. He does change/clean the filter often, and I think once a week replaces part of the water with a siphon or maybe a scoop and a bucket. Goldfish are “dirty” fish, everyone tells me, I guess because they are always hungry and eat a lot. I am happy to enjoy them while he does all the work!

Amazing how the four fish in the larger tank all seem to stick together in one small corner of the tank, as if they were scared of venturing any further. Was this an initial reaction only? Are they comfortable with the larger space now?
