Scallion buds
These plants are called green onions on the West coast, and scallions on the East coast, where I grew up. They grow well in my Seattle garden, coming back and multiplying each year so nicely.

Beautiful.
So lovely. The buds look as if they are wrapped in fine mesh.
beautiful buds π
If you linkup at NF DAM, please know it is an ART meme π You should work a little with the images π Then you are welcome!
I didn’t realize that scallions look this pretty. Very nice photo, Sara. Have a lovely weekend. Christa
Love their delicate “cocoon.”
I get the two terms confused. It’s green onion to me, and I’m always like, “What’s a scallion?”
Regardless, great photo.
Beautiful, it looks like it is hatching!
