Datura flower
I saw this in the New York City Cloisters herb garden post below. The full name on the sign was “Horn of Plenty, Downy Thorn Apple, Datura metel (Solanaceae).” They say it is poisonous, but so lovely!

A beautiful flower Sara. It is graceful and very elegant. Thanks for sharing with Today’s Flowers 🙂 Have a great Sunday!
How sad that such a pretty, simple flower is so deadly poisonous.
What a shame a flower that lovely could be harmful.
What a beautiful flower! My grandma used to have tons of these in her yard. I never thought they were poisonous, though. As much as we rolled around under and through them, I think they’re OK…although we didn’t ever try to eat them 😉
Thanks for sharing with us at Photo Friday!
beautiful image- lovely soft tones!
Beautiful lighting in that shot, Sara!
