Variegated pink weigela
I love this shrub, pronounced “why-GHEEL-a.” Not only is the foliage extremely nice and accepts pruning well, but it has these super pretty pink flowers as well!
Happy Mother’s Day! Let’s focus on one of the many things that unite us—a woman gave birth to each and every one of us. Thanks, Mom!

A bouquet of pink weigela with variegated leaves, in an old blue lusterware vase. Flowers are about 1″ or 2.5 cm across.

Had never heard of this plant. I’ve never really learned what plants are what and what shrubs and am just not a very good flower gardener. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful

The variegated leaves decorate so well these delicious blooms – a pretty bouquet!
That’s beautiful! I wish we had more sun so I could grow sun-loving plants. I’m having to adapt to sites with much more shade.

Very lovely flowers!
What a lovely tribute to mothers. The plant has so many facets to it just like a mother.
The flowers match the cloth!
Love how the flowers are reflected in the table cloth #MySundayPhoto
