Perennial sunflower
A friend gave me a start of this perennial sunflower plant last spring. It flowers in September: YAY!
Brilliant yellow perennial sunflower blooms on a windy, sunny day

Really beautiful!
We had a single sunflower “volunteer” this year – probably a seed dropped by a bird – and a deer chomped off the flower just as it was beginning to bloom. Sigh.

Looking fantastic in the autumn light <3
I love this, I never think to take a sunflower from this side angle, it is so pretty.
That is so pretty, I love the way you’ve captured the sun shining through the petals.
