My carport has at least one new occupant. Mama (or papa?) bird looked like a dark-eyed junco. Small bird with black head, brown on top of body. Hubby reached way up to snap this.

Lovely family of temporary guests. Every year in New England, CT where we live we we anticipate and hope Bluebirds will return to the bluebird house my husband built for them several years ago that is just outside of our vegetable garden. They are so beautiful as they perch on the garden fence flying back and forth to tend the nest inside their birdhouse each morning and late afternoon. We are happy to watch and wait to see how many babies will emerge… in time.
