Pink anthurium
My anthurium plant has given me a lot of pleasure with its long bloom time and pretty shadows. Since I am in Seattle it seems to be thriving in a south window. Its heart-shaped “flower” is actually a bract, or a modified leaf, flaring out from the base of a fleshy spike (spadix) where the tiny real flowers grow.

…anthuriums are a flower that I’ve always enjoy in Maui. A bunch can be bought for under $10 at the farmer’s market. Thanks for sharing.
Most beautiful and pink is my favorite color.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
