Thanksgiving cactus, magenta and white
I used to call this a Christmas cactus but I learned that the leaves with the points are Thanksgiving cactuses (or cacti), and there are also Easter cactuses. But it’s not even Halloween yet!

Beautiful.
It is beautiful. We have one we inherited from my in-laws and know it is at least 65 years old. We put it outdoors through the summer, but one year we were on holiday and there was a big storm. When we got home two large pieces had broken off, but it still flowers every late November/December.
oh my- I think I need to fertilize my cactus! Lovely photo!
That is simply beautiful. I have a supposed Christmas cactus but it has nt bloomed except for one bud that is red. I keep hoping. Thamk you for sharing. Enjoy the rest of this week. Take care
Well, they bloom whenver they like and are named after it. Beautiful. I have a white one showing millimetric buds.

I love this color flower on your cactus plant. I have two cactus plants that also bloom for thanksgiving but both are red in color.
