Red twigs for Ruby Tuesday
This is actually a Japanese maple tree of some sort. Doesn’t it look amazing? The red is RED, full on. It’s taken from my neighbor’s, looking at my front yard. It will almost be a shame when the leaves come out.
For more fascinating photographs using the color red, click HERE. And try posting your own, too. It’s tons of fun.

Very red tree! Adds a nice touch of color to the winter landscape.
Amazing, indeed! Great photo capture!

What an amazing tree – I agree, it will be a shame to see leaves on it.
That’s a beautiful red! I wonder if the leaves are red too.
that looks like spray painted! but beautiful.
Hi Sara,
That is a Coral Bark Japanese Maple. There is some debate about their origin and classification. That one really has some nice color. They get great yellow fall color.
Beautiful pic…are those tree’s really that red? It looks like someone painted it. Happy WW:)
Yes, really that red. If anything, perhaps a slightly deeper and richer shade. And no, the leaves aren’t red at all. I’ll have to post the autumn color one I have of it so you can see. Thanks for visiting, everyone.
Mm, nice red. Coral bark maples can be quite beautiful in the autumn. Definitely post that photo!
Gorgeous. I almost took a similar photo of Red osier dogwood branches but the snow was too deep. Maybe this week as the snow is pretty much gone (temporarily) in some areas.
Oh my … what lovely RED tree branches! I love learning new things! I played too but am only just now getting around to visit because life is BUSY ;–)
Hugs and blessings,
