My sister Jo Sanders is travelling in India. Here is her blog post about the Taj Mahal, with much about its shimmery effect and its extraordinary architecture.

Another image from the Cloisters in New York City. This interior space makes me feel so peaceful.

When I was in NYC last weekend, the George Washington Bridge was all lit up. I wasn’t able to get a photo of it, but my dear sister-in-law was and this is her photo. I love this image.

The Cloisters museum and gardens, the branch of The Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe, is in New York City. I was lucky enough to visit on a perfectly still and warm November afternoon. This area is a garden devoted to medicinal plants and herbs used in medieval times.

Cloister arcades border this garden with trees and herbs used medicinally in the Middle Ages

A Seattle band with a big band sound, the Kings of Swing, plays at a senior center in Kent, WA every month for a practice venue. Great dance music!

Someone built this structure out of driftwood at Richmond Beach in Washington. Almost looks like a dinosaur skeleton, doesn’t it?

Perhaps a fort, made of driftwood on the beach
