Tulip barrel

Had a lovely stroll around a garden new to me, Soos Creek Botanical Garden in Auburn, WA. It was so lovely, in full bloom everywhere.

Ferry from the viaduct

While Seattle’s viaduct elevated road is due to come down soon, we can still enjoy the views.

Forest stream

On my birthday recently we went hiking in a delightful piece of old forest right in West Seattle, Schmitz Preserve Park. So very beautiful, and the fabulous weather didn’t hurt one bit.

Two fruit trees

Both trees are five-grafts; the one on the left is has cherries and on the right, plums. We are looking at my yard towards my neighbors’, behind the fruit trees. Which version do you prefer? Happy Spring!

San Miguel street scenes

The tiny streets of San Miguel de Allende are much better for pedestrians than auto traffic. All the buildings in the center of town must be painted in earth tones.

Arches at Bellas Artes, San Miguel

Beautiful groined vault ceilings at Bellas Artes in San Miguel de Allende, the most beautiful art school ever. From the second floor walkway around a courtyard with orange trees, you can see a magnificent domed church, Las Monjas (The Nuns).

Mexico scenery

While I was visiting my sister in San Miguel in central Mexico, we took a drive to drop someone off who lives in a small village in the country, el campo.

San Miguel de Allende

I am back from visiting my sister who lives in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, my first trip to San Miguel and only my second trip to Mexico altogether. The first one was so very long ago.

Of course it was photo heaven for me. I’ll be posting more than one photo for awhile, I think, since there were so very many wonderful images. Here are the first two.
