Browsing through my archives, I found this image of how the horse pasture next to our backyard used to be a few years ago. I miss Tawny. Now a big house is being built there.

Haven’t posted something from my garden in a bit. The columbines are looking lovely this year. I know that the fertilizing I did earlier helped a lot, since I didn’t do it last year and was sorry.

Yesterday was the warmest day of the year so far, over 70 degrees F and sunny. And it was my birthday! I celebrated by going outside and smelling the lilacs all blooming.

Yesterday the apple trees began to bloom. I hope there are still apple flowers blooming when the rain stops next week.

I got a new camera, another little Canon, the PowerShot 120. I don’t know all the features yet, but took it out in my yard. I like it!

These plants are called green onions on the West coast, and scallions on the East coast, where I grew up. They grow well in my Seattle garden, coming back and multiplying each year so nicely.
