Perennial sunflower

A friend gave me a start of this perennial sunflower plant last spring. It flowers in September: YAY!

Purple lacecap hydrangea

Saw this pretty lacecap hydrangea while out and about. What should I call this color? Red violet?

Backlit yellow rose

This yellow beauty is my new favorite rose, my David Austin rose Julia Child. Butter yellow, for sure!

Sunshine glows through the petals of this Julia Child rose, seen from the back. Even the sepals are graceful.

Plum blossoms

I have a multi-graft plum tree, and the earliest section is blooming. Such a welcome sight. Happy Spring!

Autumn leaves, backlit

I admit this is from late October, but there are still pretty leaves out there, just not much sunshine lately.

Springtime sky

Looking through the archives for some sunshine, found this one of magnolia branches against the sky, taken one April day. You’re welcome.

Pink Japanese anemone

At the local garden club district meeting recently, garden flowers (horticulture) were on display.
