Alstroemeria

I was at a flower show today, where garden club members get together and put sprigs of what’s blooming on display.

Unripe grapes

Green, unripe grapes on the vine. These will be purple when they are ripe. Perhaps the red stems are a hint of that?

Plant shadows

My fave haunt in Seattle: the hidden gem, the Volunteer Park Conservatory. If you get a chance to go there for a special evening event, do it!

Magenta bougainvillea

I have a bougainvillea standard (little tree) that I take inside each fall. Here it is enjoying the sunshine on our patio.

Fireboat

While on a cruise ship going to Bermuda, leaving the New York City harbor (see Lady Liberty post below), there was a fireboat looking scenic.

Flower border

The border of flowers in our backyard is doing its thing. It looks best in late light instead of today’s midday sunshine, but this is pretty nice too, no?
