Apricot rose

A change of pace. This perfect rose was photographed at the Garden Club flower show not too long ago.

Tomatoes and string bean harvest

I managed to give the vegetable beds some organic August fertilizer and watered in well. The string beans are doing a whole new crop. If we get a warm September there will be lots and lots more!

Alstroemeria

I was at a flower show today, where garden club members get together and put sprigs of what’s blooming on display.

Old boat

My sister Jo is traveling in Nova Scotia, in Canada, and saw a number of beautifully rusting boats in the village of Marie Joseph. And what a sky! I took the liberty of sharing this one with you.

Bowman Bay pink sunset

Thinking about our camping trip coming up reminded me of the Bowman Bay camping experience a few years ago. We aren’t going there this time, but thought you’d like to see another view of one of the most scenic landscapes I’ve ever seen.

Cove sunset

I live south of Seattle, just a few minutes from a cove on Puget Sound. There is smoke from nearby wildfires, and the weather people promised us a colorful sunset. Delivered!

Sunset at the Conservatory

It’s been a Volunteer Park Conservatory kind of week. Still waiting for the Corpse Lily (“Dougsley”) to bloom and emit its stench. In the meantime, here’s a view of the sunset through the Bromeliad house.
