Mt. Baker Beach

Was lucky enough to have a little picnic the other day at a new place to me, Mt. Baker Beach. Here’s the pier:

And here’s the little park where we had a picnic. Isn’t that inviting?

Boat garage

Not sure what the real name of this kind of structure is, seen in Florida at the Bonnet House in Ft. Lauderdale, but I call it a boat garage. (Now I’m told it’s a boat house.)

Men laughing

We went to a Punjabi engagement party, at a beautiful home on Lake Washington. These four men chatting on the pier at dusk made a fine image.

Seattle ferry

Eating out at Ivar’s at the Seattle waterfront the other evening, this ferry boat was pulling in right nearby. So scenic!

Wet pier

From a trip to Port Orchard, WA last year just at this time, a very wet pier on a very wet but lovely day. Let’s take a little stroll, shall we?

Coupeville pier

Coupeville is one of the oldest towns in Washington, I am told. We were here last year at this time. Don’t you just love the starry diamonds on the water?

Posts on a pier

Today I went to meet up with a dear friend in Port Orchard, WA (Hi, Marsha!) and she drove me to this scenic pier in Manchester, the next town over. Even in the rain, or maybe especially in the rain, I liked the feeling of being able to walk off into the distance. But it was cold out there!

This week I’m participating in Scenic Sunday, Shadow Shot Sunday 2, Outdoor Wednesday, Mellow Yellow Monday, Skywatch Friday, Water World Wednesday, Nature’s Footsteps Waters, Weekend Reflections, and A Piece of Heaven. Pier at Bowman Bay, WA

Our recent camping trip at Deception Pass State Park at Bowman Bay was blessed with sunny weather. We have had about six weeks solid of sunny weather in August and September in Seattle and it has been fabulous. The most sunshine in the nine years that I have been in the area, and I can’t tell you how much appreciated. In any case, here is a look towards the end of the pier at Bowman Bay. Shall we take a stroll?

Lots of interesting entries in A Piece of Heaven, Skywatch Friday, Outdoor Wednesday, SOOC Sunday (straight out of the camera), and Scenic Sunday. If this is the only photo below, please click on Sara’s Fave Photos Blog above to see the latest posts.
