Longwood Gardens pool

I was told that they are getting ready to plant water lilies in the six inches or so of water on this space in the incomparable Longwood Gardens outside of Philadelphia.

Forget-me-nots

These little blue and yellow flowers are well named. You cannot forget them because they will always return to your garden, forever. So pretty in springtime, but then out they must go.

Two fruit trees

Both trees are five-grafts; the one on the left is has cherries and on the right, plums. We are looking at my yard towards my neighbors’, behind the fruit trees. Which version do you prefer? Happy Spring!

Floating roses, San Miguel

In San Miguel de Allende, an art and tourist mecca in central Mexico, I went to a beautiful former factory, La Fabrica Aurora, which is now a shopping heaven. In the courtyard were these display of roses. Which are prettier, lavender or pink?

Babies, San Miguel

Since the streets and sidewalks are quite uneven in San Miguel de Allende (vast understatement!), strollers just don’t cut it.
