Connectivity

Is there anything more beautiful than a cloudless sunset sky? The softest lavender fading to golden brilliance.

Last of the viaduct in Seattle

Just a few weeks ago the last segments of Seattle’s viaduct were still standing. Now they are no more.

Caffe D’arte in Seattle

A recent beautiful and sunny late-summer Seattle day. Coffee, sunshine, and hanging fuchsia flower baskets! What’s not to like?

Old-world feel to this lovely Seattle street scene. Window arches on both sides of the street!

Seattle skyline

Here’s a view of Seattle you won’t see for very much longer, taken November 2016. Note the Great Wheel, the construction cranes, the Space Needle, and the Viaduct roadway, soon to be torn down.

Burien dancers

I don’t know who these dancers were or why they were floating down the main drag of Old Town Burien in hats like flowers, but there they were the other evening. They were starting to attract a following, too.

Looking like flowers, a group of dancers wafted beautifully down 152nd St. in Burien, WA.

Seattle from the viaduct

The elevated viaduct in Seattle is slated to come down later this year. The views we will miss are not only of the water.

Pipes and steam and a strip of blue sky, from Seattle’s viaduct.

Seattle skyline with cranes

Here are only a couple of the dozens and dozens of cranes decorating the Seattle, WA skyline at dusk recently.

Seattle is booming, and this view from the south shows some of the changes.

Fall begins

In Seattle, it’s remarkable how close to the calendar the turn of the season feels. This week begins Fall, and sure enough, the trees are coloring up quite nicely.

Seattle skyline

Here’s a shot of Seattle approaching from the south, showing progress on the new tunnel construction. I think the yellow cylinders are where the tunnel boring started, moving north. At one time not so very long ago, the Smith Tower on the far right, the pointy one, was the tallest building in Seattle!
