Sunflowers at a farmers market
Farmers markets are supposed to be all about fresh, healthy, local produce, but I mostly go for the flowers. Buckets of fresh flowers, there for me and my admiring camera. I usually ask if I may take photos, and they almost always say yes. The berries and cherries usually get my dollars, but those flowers fill my (mental and electronic) memory card.
Visit Mellow Yellow Monday, Outdoor Wednesday, Color Carnival, SOOC Sunday (straight out of the camera), Today’s Flowers, Macro Monday, Macro Flowers Saturday and Macro Friday. Gorgeous. Love sunflowers!!
Sunny days, sun…flowers! Beautiful!
Love the tiny daisies juxtaposed with this huge sunflower!
Beautiful shot!
My great niece just got married in Seattle…2 weeks ago. Her flowers were sunflowers like these, bought at the market. Perfect for a summer wedding…and for our daily enjoyment!
Lovely sunflower photo!
What an amazing capture Sara.
I bought a big bouquet myself two day ago to take photos but in two hours they were wilted. Probably because of the heat we are having.
Sara, what do you say my flowers are if not azaleas? They were labeled as such but they are small indoor plants by us, not the garden variety.
The most sought after flower for now, sunflowers! Happy weekend!

I love the way the huge sunflower in the foreground has the smaller ones and the daisies in the background! Context and contrast!!
WOW! I love it!
I love going to the farmers markets too. It would be worth the trip for these sunflowers alone 🙂
Sunflowers are beautiful and thanks you for giving me a glimpse of summer when so many people around me keep saying it’s over!!!
