The old doors of San Miguel de Allende are rightfully famous. I am sure there are many photography books on that just that subject.

The tiny streets of San Miguel de Allende are much better for pedestrians than auto traffic. All the buildings in the center of town must be painted in earth tones.

Walking around el centro, the main central area of San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, sometimes you can peek into courtyards from the street.
One more thing. Today is my 8th Blogoversary! What a fun time I’ve had. Thanks, everyone, for visiting and commenting. It really makes my day.

Beautiful groined vault ceilings at Bellas Artes in San Miguel de Allende, the most beautiful art school ever. From the second floor walkway around a courtyard with orange trees, you can see a magnificent domed church, Las Monjas (The Nuns).

There are big jacaranda trees in my sister’s house in San Miguel. They are just coming into bloom.

I am back from visiting my sister who lives in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, my first trip to San Miguel and only my second trip to Mexico altogether. The first one was so very long ago.
Of course it was photo heaven for me. I’ll be posting more than one photo for awhile, I think, since there were so very many wonderful images. Here are the first two.

A wonderful display garden at NW Flower & Garden Show in Seattle (#NWFGS) had a beautiful fountain inside an arched courtyard. The gentleman there told me it’s “la fuente” in Spanish. He said that in old Spanish, la fuente also means “the source.”

Went to a great event at Seattle’s Volunteer Park Conservatory on Valentine’s Day. What a fine place for some wine, jazz and a selfie!

At the Seattle Art Museum recently I stopped to take a photo of a favorite exhibit: “Inopportune: Stage One,” also known as Tumbling Tauruses. I always like viewing this explosive-looking sculpture from the side, for some reason. Now I read it’s coming down soon. Go see them before they are gone!
